DT Project - The Sisters of Craft Blog Challenge - April 2015

Today's is April Fools Day, I hope you don't get tricked by anything horrid!  Today also sees the launch of the next Sisters of Craft Blog Challenge.  We had some great entries last month and it was tough picking a winner, if you took part last month don't forget to check the blog to see if our choice was you!

Our sponsor this month is Crafter's Companion so for my project I decided to use my Brambly Hedge CD-roms.   Our winner will receive a £10 Crafters Companion Coupon!

I'm a die-hard Brambly Hedge fan, I have Brambly Hedge books, DVDs, soft toys, stamps and lots of ornaments.
Here is a photo of my Brambly Hedge cabinet!  If anyone is fond of dusting do get in touch!!!
I've just realised why there is a gap on the second shelf, my vase is currently on the kitchen window sill full of flowers, no photo as the flowers are looking rather sad!

And this is Mrs Toadflax my first every piece of Brambly Hedge.
I think if I every go on mastermind my specialist subject will be Brambly Hedge...

And finally on to my project. The disc is jam-packed full of Brambly goodness, I was spoilt for choice but in the end I decided to make an exploding box, using a Sea Story image.  It was simply a case of printing the pieces and building it, it was quite time consuming but I think it was worth it.

I have embellished the lid with a ribbon, image from the disc and metal starfish and dolphins from my stash.

The second layer is embellished with die cuts made from funky foam using Joy! dies.

For the third layer I cut letters using my Silhouette Cameo from a design sheet from the disc, the sentiment is FAREWELL.  My only regret is I forgot to ink the edges of the letters so unfortunately they look a bit lost but that's what I love about craft you always learn from your mistakes!
So what are you waiting for, grab your crafty stash and let us see what you create!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges;
